Client Overview and Design Brief

A young adult son who is preparing to start university. The design for his bedroom needed to strike a balance between comfort, functionality, and style, ensuring that it would serve as both a retreat and a productive space for studying and relaxing.

Project Objectives

•Custom Bedroom Design: Design and create a personalized, comfortable space that reflects the son's tastes while being functional for study and relaxation.

•Custom Furniture & Woodwork: All furniture and woodwork was custom-designed to fit the space, ensuring both practicality and aesthetic appeal.

•Modern & Functional: The space needed to accommodate both personal and academic activities, including areas for relaxation, study, and storage.

Design Approach

•Space Planning & Functionality: The design incorporateda smart layout with areas designated for study, relaxation, and sleep. We ensured the space was clutter-free while providing ample storage.

•Custom Furniture & Woodwork: All furniture and woodwork was custom made to fit the design vision. From the bed and desk to the shelving, everything was tailored for this specific space.

•Purchased Armchair: We sourced a comfortable and stylish armchair to complement the room, ensuring the space was both functional and inviting.

•Lighting & Ambiance: The room featured integrated lighting around the bed, and adjustable wall-mounted lamps for reading. A modern pendant light hangs above to add a unique touch.

•3D Visualizations: Our team used 3D developments to bring the design to life, helping visualize each stage of the project and ensuring the design met all expectations before installation.

Implementation Considerations

•Study & Sleep Zones: We designed distinct zones within the room, ensuring an easy flow between spaces for studying and resting, each with its own level of comfort and functionality.

•Aesthetic Balance: The design balances neutral tones with pops of colour in the bedding and decor, creating a sophisticated yet youthful atmosphere perfect for a soon-to-be university student.

Outcome

The project resulted in a stylish, comfortable bedroom that serves as a perfect environment for both studying and unwinding. With custom-made furniture and woodwork, this space reflects the client's unique style while remaining functional for a busy student lifestyle.
