Client Overview and Design Brief

A young professional working from home, with a passion for gaming, sought a comfortable and functional space to blend relaxation and work. The objective was to create a gaming room that balances sophistication and entertainment, offering both a cozy retreat and a dynamic environment for gaming sessions.

Project Objectives

•Gaming Room Redesign: Create a space that integrates the client’s professional needs with their passion for gaming, ensuring comfort and style.

•Aesthetic Appeal: Design a sleek and contemporary aesthetic using deep, sophisticated tones with a modern touch to reflect the client's taste.

•Heating & Flooring: Install laminate flooring and integrate an efficient heating system to ensure year-round comfort.

Design Approach

•Material Selection: The room was designed with a sophisticated deep grey wall colour to create a cozy and immersive ambiance for gaming and working. Laminate flooring was installed to maintain the modern aesthetic while ensuring durability and ease of maintenance. A heating system was also integrated for added comfort during colder months.

•Space Organization: The design incorporated a well-defined gaming area with a large desk and two monitors. Comfortable gaming chairs were selected, and the layout was optimized for functionality. A sleek, minimalistic storage unit was added to house gaming equipment and accessories in a tidy manner.

•Lighting Design: The lighting scheme was designed to provide flexibility and ambience, with track lights to highlight key elements and adjustable brightness to accommodate gaming and work activities.

Implementation Considerations

•Multi-functional Design: The layout allows for an optimal balance between work and gaming, while maintaining comfort and functionality. Every piece of furniture was selected to contribute to both aesthetics and practicality.

•Customized Furniture: A modern desk, ergonomic gaming chair, and a custom-made storage unit were designed to fit the space seamlessly and provide functionality without cluttering the room.
