Client Overview and Design Brief

A repeat client seeking to create a comfortable and highly luxurious chill room with an incredible view of Lake Geneva. The design needed to incorporate functionality, style, and a relaxing atmosphere, all while maximizing the spectacular “eagle’s nest” vantage point.

Project Objectives

Chill Room Design: Develop a bold yet cozy, and stylish chill room to take full advantage of the breathtaking Lake Geneva view.
Renovation & Demolition: Flatten the walls, remove the old hardwood floor and built-in furniture to start fresh and modernize the room.
Materials Selection: Source and propose different materials to achieve the best look in the room.
Custom Woodwork: Design, manufacture and install all custom-build wood joinery to ensure functionality and match the client’s aesthetic vision.

Design Approach

3D Visualization: We started with 3D models to help the client visualize the space and confirm the design direction.
Renovation & Construction: All old materials and fixtures, including parquet and built-ins, were removed. The walls were flattened and prepared for new finishes, and the space was painted and silk-papered to create a refined look.
Lighting & Window Treatments: Roman blinds were custom-designed to provide both functionality and elegance. They allow for precise control of light and privacy while complementing the room’s aesthetic.
Custom Woodwork & Furniture: We designed and crafted custom wood joinery to maximize the functionality of the room while aligning with the overall design. The furniture, including the sofa and tables, was carefully chosen to ensure both comfort and style.
Project Coordination: Our team coordinated all trades, established a timeline, and ensured attention to detail in every step of the process, ensuring that all aspects of the renovation were handled professionally and efficiently.

View Maximization: The design was carefully planned to optimize the view of Lake Geneva, with the seating and layout focused on providing the best sightlines.
Functionality & Comfort: The room was designed to be both practical and comfortable, offering a space for relaxation while also supporting the client's need for quiet moments or informal gatherings.
Material & Lighting Selection: We selected materials and finishes that balanced elegance with comfort. Lighting was strategically designed to create a warm, welcoming ambiance.

The chill room was successfully transformed into a peaceful, inviting retreat that not only offers a stunning view of Lake Geneva but also embodies modern design, comfort, and functionality.
