Interior Architect or Interior Designer

Lutry, VD, Switzerland (with some travel within Europe)

 

We are a bespoke interior design studio located in Lutry, VD, Switzerland. We are renowned for crafting joyful and refined spaces for our clients and our commitment to excellence in execution. Currently, we are embarking on a major hospitality project in the French Riviera and we are seeking a talented Design Professional to join our team.

Position Overview: You will play a pivotal role in supporting the Project Director, who acts as a liaison between the Architects Team in France and the Design Team, us, in Switzerland throughout the duration of the project (min. five years). You will be responsible for contributing to the conceptualization, design development, and execution of all the interior and exterior spaces including 64 apartments and suites, common areas, kitchens, bathrooms, poolside terrace etc ensuring that our client’s vision is brought to life with the highest standards of quality and refinement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Project Director and other team members to develop and refine design concepts that align with the project requirements.

  • Visit sites to take measurements and photos.

  • Produce detailed floor plans, joinery designs, wall elevations, moodboards and presentations to communicate design ideas effectively to clients and stakeholders.

  • Research and specify materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures that meet project specifications and budgetary constraints.

  • Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, vendors and ateliers to ensure seamless execution of design plans and timely delivery of project milestones.

  • Conduct site visits and inspections with the Architects Team to oversee the progress of construction and installation activities, addressing any design/interiors-related issues that may arise.

  • Maintain meticulous documentation of project correspondence, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate record-keeping and project traceability.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, OR minimum three years of experience in a related field.

  • Proven experience working on high-end residential and/or hospitality projects, with a portfolio showcasing your design skills and technical proficiency.

  • Familiarity with high-end furniture and interior finishes brands.

  • High level proficiency in industry-standard design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Excel.

  • Basic level of proficiency in Lumion, Revit, etc.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for craftsmanship and quality in design.

  • Fluency in English and French (additional languages would be advantageous).
