Soft and Warm En-suite

A serene en-suite bathroom balancing natural warmth and custom detailing.

Pully

Switzerland

Présentation du client et cahier des charges

As part of this master suite project in Pully, the client requested an ensuite bathroom that would feel calm, warm, and timeless while remaining visually connected to the adjacent bedroom and dressing room.

The objective was to create a luxurious yet soft atmosphere using warm materials, sculptural lighting, and minimal contemporary forms. The client also wanted the bathroom to feel less cold and mineral than traditional stone-heavy bathrooms.

Objectifs du projet

• Create a warm and elegant ensuite bathroom connected to the master suite
• Integrate custom-made cabinetry tailored to the space
• Use soft natural tones and rounded shapes to create visual calmness
• Introduce unexpected warmth through material selection
• Balance contemporary minimalism with comfort and softness

Approche de conception

A fully custom vanity unit was designed specifically for the project in order to achieve clean proportions and seamless integration within the architecture of the room. Large-format stone-effect wall surfaces were combined with warm oak flooring to soften the overall atmosphere.

Unexpectedly, real parquet flooring was selected for the bathroom floor instead of conventional stone or ceramic flooring. This decision introduced warmth, texture, and a more residential feeling into the space while visually connecting the bathroom to the rest of the suite.

A sculptural ceramic freestanding bathtub was positioned as a central architectural element, while backlit circular mirrors and warm brass lighting fixtures added softness and depth to the composition.

Considérations de mise en œuvre

Careful technical planning was required due to the use of real wood flooring within a bathroom environment. Material selection, installation techniques, and moisture protection systems had to be coordinated precisely in order to ensure durability and long-term performance.

The custom vanity unit also required detailed coordination between plumbing integration, stone surfaces, and bespoke joinery fabrication.

Résultat

The final result is a warm and elegant ensuite bathroom that feels calm, inviting, and deeply connected to the overall architectural language of the suite. The combination of real parquet flooring, soft stone textures, custom cabinetry, and sculptural lighting created a refined atmosphere that feels both contemporary and timeless.
